About me
Welcome to My Consulting Practice!
Hello! I’m Dr. Michael Mosca, the founder and lead consultant at MTC. With over 15 years of experience in admissions consulting, I have guided countless students through the complexities of interviews, applications, scholarships, and grants.
Despite facing challenges with ADHD and dyslexia growing up, I developed a profound passion for reading and writing. Overcoming these early obstacles gave me a unique perspective on personal statements and admissions processes. If you can envision it, chances are I’ve either applied to it or helped someone gain admission successfully.
My Journey:
At Harvard, I pursued a degree in History and Science, completing an honors thesis on the developmental theories of dyslexia—a personal triumph over my learning disabilities. My academic journey continued at Oxford, where I delved into Musculoskeletal Sciences, driven by a desire to alleviate orthopedic conditions through research. This pursuit of knowledge extended to Columbia and NYU, where I studied medicine and ultimately recieved my PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
Throughout my academic career, I successfully applied to numerous prestigious programs and scholarships, including the Rhodes, Fulbright, and Marshall, and was accepted into over 15 top medical and PhD programs (Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Stanford to name a few).
My tutoring career began at Harvard, where I taught math and chemistry. I quickly discovered the reward in helping others articulate their experiences into compelling narratives. I find the process of helping my clients stand out in the increasingly competitive applicant pool an exciting and fullfing process.
I invite you to explore my professional journey further in the CV section of this website, and I am excited to help you navigate any application process with confidence and success.
